AIS began as an extension of Mikage International Preschool. In 1964, Mrs. Yoshiko Burke opened the preschool for her daughter and foreign children who had no such venue to learn and play in English.
For nearly half a century, we have been providing a place for children to make English-speaking friends and establish the base for a worldly view. We provide an environment rich of foreign cultures, so children can be confident anywhere in the world!
We believe that building a firm foundation in children is valuable. Selecting proper textbooks, resources and loving staff are important to prepare the youth for the future. We mainly use the A BEKA curriculum for our standard programs as well as other Christian resources.
Most of our lessons incorporate play or activities to enhance the learning process. Unlike some other programs and practices, we believe that learning can be fun.
